Did you know that J.C. Forest Products can provide you with solid hardwood beams & timbers? That’s right, for over 25 years J.C. Forest Products has been providing Northern & Central VA customers just like you with massive hardwood beams & timbers custom cut to your size and specifications. Our years of experience have allowed us to build an extensive network of sawmills and suppliers that can custom manufacture beams & timbers to meet your project’s needs. Sizes up to 12 x 12 are not uncommon and in some cases even larger!
Please note that if appearance, structural strength and/or stability are of concern, we offer beautiful #1 and BTR Kiln-dried Douglas Fir timbers up to 10 x 10 FOHC (free of heart center), and in some cases up to 24′ in length depending on availability.

Live Edge Slabs
J.C. Forest Products, along with our sister company Colonial Hardwoods, inventories one of, if not the largest, selection of live edge slabs in the Washington D.C. & Mid-Atlantic area. Thanks to our extensive network of sawmill partners, we are able to offer some of the most incredible wood slabs that mother nature has to offer! With species such as Black Walnut, Ambrosia Maple, Burl Elm, Curly Maple, Black Cherry, and California Redwood! Come On! Nobody on the East Coast stocks California Redwood, but we do! Some of our Redwood slabs can reach up to a mind boggling 56” in width!
My wife Jean and I love traveling the country searching for natures incredible wood gems. It also brings us great joy to know that many of these slabs are being “repurposed”, saved from the landfill, the mulch pile or the fireplace!
